A Journey by Bus

A journey by bus is a journey which is undertaken by bus. A few days ago I had a chance to travel by bus from Dhaka to Sylhet. I was going to my uncle's house.

I went to Sayedabad Bus Terminal in the morning. I easily found out Dhaka-Sylhet bus. I managed a ticket of a bus. My seat was comfortable and it was beside a window.

The bus started for Sylhet at 7 a.m. While the bus was leaving Dhaka city, it was at first moving slowly: Afterwards, the speed increased. I looked outside through the window and saw many charming things of Nature. I was much delighted to see the sights and sounds of the surrounding areas. It was really an interesting experience.

We reached Meghna Ferry Ghat at 8 a.m. We all got down from the bus and got on a ferry. The ferry plied very smoothly and we all enjoyed the sights and sounds of the mighty Meghna. The ferry took about half an hour to reach the other side of the river.

While going to Sylhet by bus, I also watched the wonderful scenery of many tea gardens. It gave me much pleasure and joy.

At 11 o'clock, our bus reached Habiganj road. On this road, we almost faced a collision from which we narrowly escaped. Our driver tried to overtake a bus running in full speed. It might lead our bus to an accident. But, by the grace of the Almighty Allah, we were saved.

Our bus was running speedily and I was enjoying music from the cassette player of the bus. Our bus reached Sylhet safely at 2 p.m.

My journey was long but pleasant. I shall never forget the memory of this journey because it was the first longest bus journey in my life.
How happy I was in my childhood days! The happy and pleasant memories of those days still give me pleasure. If I could go back to those days again!
