The TV Programme I Enjoy Most

Television is one of the blessings of modern science. As a medium of entertainment, television is watched in every nook and corner of the world. It has also a great educative value. I am also a regular viewer of television. Various programmes are telecast on TV every day. Among them, my most favourite one is the Debate programme.

It is telecast on Bangladesh Television every Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. Since I remain free in the afternoon, I easily manage to watch the programme. I hardły miss it.

The debate programme is a popular and it is held between two groups. A specific topic or subject is chosen for the debate beforehand. Each group is assigned a stance on the issue. One group supports the topic, while the other argues against it. In each group, there are usually three debaters. Each member has a unique role in presenting their arguments.

The debate programme is divided into two parts.. In the first part, each debater from both groups is given 5 minutes to present their speech and explain their viewpoint. The speeches are often filled with facts, data, and logical arguments that help support their stance. In the second part, the leader of each group has 2 minutes to respond to the opposing team's arguments. He refute any contradictions or weaknesses in their logic. This part of the debate is the real clash of ideas takes place. In this part, the leaders try to dismantle the opposition's claims. A president and a evaluator panel evaluate the speech of the speakers. Watching such debates not only broadens my knowledge but also improves my views.

I enjoy this programme because the debaters present various information and up-to-date data on various subjects. The way in which they refute each other's logic is really interesting as well as educative. Thus, we can improve our knowledge, logic and power of judgement. This programme also inspires me to study more and more.

Really, this is a programme which is worth-watching. Anybody can choose it as a medium of instruction as well as recreation.
