Bangladesh is a land of six seasons. Each season has its own features. Of the six seasons of Bangla year, I love the spring most. It is the king of seasons.

The spring is one of the most delightful seasons in Bangladesh. It is the season of rebirth, rejuvenation and renewal. It starts in the month of Falgun (February/March) and lasts until Baishakh (April). The weather in spring is simply, magical. The bitter cold of winter gradually fades away, and the cool breeze brings a pleasant feeling all around. There is no heavy, rainfall, no dark cloud, or no scorching heat of summer. The bright sunshine and blue skies enhance the beauty of nature.

The spring comes with the message of hope and enjoyment. The trees and plants put on new leaves. The nature wears a charming look. The flowers bloom everywhere, and the trees turn lush green, making the ci/ire country look vibrant and colourful.

One of the best things about spring in Bangladesh is the festivals that come along with it. Pohela Falgun, the first day of spring, is celebrated with much enthusiasm and joy. People dress up in bright and colourful clothes, and the streets are decorated with flowers and banners. Basanta Utsav, the festival of colours, is also celebrated during this season.
