Above fifty percent of the total population of our country is women. There is no denying fact that our womanhood plays a significant role in the development of our country. They are no longer inferior to and less intelligent than men.

In every sector of production, women play a vital role. Our ready-made garment sector, for instance, is almost entirely dependent on women. Over 70 percent of the workforce are female there. Furthermore, in industries like poultry, the involvement of women has significantly boosted national production. The role of women in the handicraft industry is also crucial for the economic development of our country.

The overall attitude of society toward women has undergone a massive transformation. In the past, women were seen as suitable only for domestic chores. They were confined mainly to the kitchen. However, today women are given priority. Now they are seen as vital contributors in every sector.

The government actively supports women's involvement in education, medical science, and culture. Government has taken special measures to ensure their welfare and advancement. Women are now considered valuable assets to the nation as they are becoming more self-reliant, confident, and independent. The role of women has changed. Now they are becoming leader, business tycoon and contributing to develop our country.

The role of women in the development of our country is so great that we cannot impose any social and religious barrier on their onward march any more. Rather we are hopeful that our women will occupy their right positions in our society by their hard and sincere work.
