A School Magazine

A school magazine contains (থাকে) the literary (সাহিত্যবিষয়ক) works and other information (তথ্য) of a school. It is published once a year. We have a school magazine in our school. To publish it smoothly (সুচারুভাবে), a magazine committee of usually nine members is formed in a general meeting. The members of the committee are chief patron (পৃষ্ঠপোষক), adviser (উপদেষ্টা), editor, assistant editors, business editors, proofreaders, assistant proofreaders, etc. The Headteacher holds the post of chief patron and a senior teacher becomes the adviser. The editor, business editors and the assistant proofreaders are selected among the students. A magazine fund (তহবিল) is also made up (গঠন করা হ্যা) of the school 'Magazine Fee'. The editor invites (আহ্বান করে) writings both in Bangla and English. Then, after proper scrutiny (স্কুটিনি-নিরীক্ষণ), the best ones are selected for publishing. The business editors collect some money by selling spaces (স্থান) in the magazine for advertisements. Generally, the magazine has two sections Bangla and English. There are messages (বাণী) from the Headteacher and the secretary (সচিব) of the school, annual reports, essays, short, stories, short plays, etc. in it. It also contains jokes, quizes (ধাঁধা) and puzzles (শব্দ ধাঁধা), Most of the articles (বিষয়) are written by the students. A few articles are contributed (প্রদান করা) by the teachers. A school magazine promotes (উন্নয়ন করা) team-spirit (দলীয় উদ্দীপনা), fosters (উৎসাহিত করে) to express the dormant (সুপ্ত) power of thinking as well as writing of the young learners. It helps to flourish (বিকশিত হওয়া) themselves as future writers and poets.

স্কুল ম্যাগাজিন স্কুলের সাহিত্য কর্মকাণ্ড এবং অন্যান্য তথ্য ধারণ করে। এটি বছরে একবার প্রকাশিত হয়। আমাদের স্কুলে আমাদের একটি স্কুল ম্যাগাজিন আছে। এটি সুচারুভাবে প্রকাশের জন্য একটি সাধারণ সভায় নয় সদস্যের একটি ম্যাগাজিন কমিটি গঠন করা হয়। এ কমিটির সদস্যমন্ডলীগণ হলো প্রধান পৃষ্ঠপোষক, উপদেষ্টা সম্পাদক, সহকারী সম্পাদক, বাণিজ্যিক সম্পাদক, মুদ্রণশোধক, সহকারী মুদ্রণশোধক প্রভৃতি। প্রধান শিক্ষক প্রধান পৃষ্ঠপোষকের পদে থাকেন এবং একজন সিনিয়র শিক্ষক উপদেষ্টা হন। সম্পাদক, বাণিজ্যিক সম্পাদক এবং সাহায্যকারী মুদ্রণশোধক ছাত্রদের মধ্য থেকে নির্বাচিত করা হয়। স্কুল ম্যাগাজিন ফি দিয়ে এক ম্যাগাজিন তহবিল গঠন করা হয়। সম্পাদক বাংলা এবং ইংরেজি উভয় ভাষাতে লেখা আহ্বান করেন। তারপর যথাযথ নিরীক্ষণের মাধ্যমে সেরা লেখাগুলো প্রকাশের জন্য নির্বাচিত করা হয়। বাণিজ্য সম্পাদক বিজ্ঞাপনের জন্য ম্যাগাজিনের কিছু অংশ বিক্রি করে টাকা সংগ্রহ করেন। সাধারণত ম্যাগাজিনের দুটি অংশ থাকে বাংলা এবং ইংরেজি। প্রধানশিক্ষক এবং স্কুল সচিবের বাণী থাকে এবং এতে বার্ষিক তথ্য, প্রবন্ধ, ছোট গল্প, নাটিকা ইত্যাদি থাকে। এতে কৌতুক, ধাঁধা, শব্দ ধাঁধা ইত্যাদিও থাকে। অধিকাংশ বিষয় ছাত্রদের দ্বারা লিখিত এবং কিছু শিক্ষকদের দ্বারা প্রদান করা হয়। একটি স্কুল ম্যাগাজিন দলীয় উদ্দীপনার উন্নয়ন করে তরুণ শিক্ষার্থীদের লেখা এবং চিন্তার সুপ্তপ্রতিভাকে প্রকাশ করতে উৎসাহিত করে। এটি ভবিষ্যৎ লেখক এবং কবি হিসেবে বিকশিত হতে তাদের সাহায্য করে।
