My Visit to a Historical Place

There are many beautiful and worth seeing places of historical importance in the world. It has educative and cultural values as well. A few months ago, I had an opportunity to visit Bagerhat. Our school was closed and it was a good opportunity for me to fulfil my desire. I visited the Mazar of Khan Jahan Ali at Bagerhat. We stayed there for one day. The Mazar of Khan Jahan Ali stands on a raised ground. The tomb is made of stone. Hazrat Pir Khan Jahan Ali came here from Delhi to preach Islam. He died on 25 October 1459. I saw many other things and enjoyed them. There is a big tank in front of the Mazar. There are some crocodiles in this big tank. When the caretaker calls them, they come near. It is very interesting. The visitors sometimes give the crocodiles something to eat. I also visited the Shatgambuj Mosque. It stands on sixty pillars and it has 77 beautifül domes. It looks very beautiful. It is famous across the country. The visit really widened my outlook. When I remember the visit, I feel I should visit other historical places of our country.

আমার একটি ঐতিহাসিক স্থান পরিদর্শন

ঐতিহাসিক গুরুত্ব সম্পন্ন অনেক সুন্দর ও মনোরম স্থান পৃথিবীতে আছে। এর শিক্ষামূলক ও সাংস্কৃতিক ভূমিকাও রয়েছে। কয়েকমাস পূর্বে আমি বাগেরহাট পরিদর্শনের সুযোগ পাই। তখন আমাদের স্কুল বন্ধ ছিল। আর তাই এটা ছিল আমার ইচ্ছাপূরণের একটি বিশেষ সুযোগ। আমি বাগেরহাটে অবস্থিত খান জাহান আলীর মাজার পরিদর্শন করি। আমরা সেখানে একদিন অবস্থান করেছিলাম। খান জাহান আলীর মাজার একটি উঁচু স্থানে অবস্থিত। সমাধিসৌধটি পাথরের তৈরি। হযরত পীর খান জাহান আলী ইসলাম প্রচারের জন্য দিল্লি থেকে এখানে আসেন। তিনি ২৫ অক্টোবর, ১৪৫৯ সালে মৃত্যুবরণ করেন। আমি আরও অনেক কিছু দেখেছি এবং সেগুলো খুবই উপভোগ করেছি। মাজারের সামনে একটি বড় দীঘি রয়েছে। দীঘিতে বেশ কতকগুলো কুমির রয়েছে। এখানকার তত্ত্বাবধায়ক যখন ডাকে, কুমিরগুলো তখন কাছে আসে। এটি খুবই মজার ব্যাপার। মাঝে মাঝে দর্শকরা কুমিরগুলোকে বিভিন্ন জিনিস খেতে দেয়। আমি ষাট গম্বুজ মসজিদটিও পরিদর্শন করেছি। এটি ষাটটি থামের ওপর দাঁড়িয়ে আছে এবং এটির ৭৭টি-গম্বুজ রয়েছে। এটি দেখতে খুবই সুন্দর। এটি সারাদেশে পরিচিত। এই ভ্রমণটি সত্যিকার অর্থে আমার দৃষ্টিকে প্রসারিত করেছে। যখনই আমি ভ্রমণের কথা মনে করি তখন দেশের অন্যান্য ঐতিহাসিক স্থানগুলো পরিদর্শন করার ইচ্ছা জাগে।
