Traffic Jam

Traffic jam is a long queue of vehicles on a road. It is a great problem and nuisance (যন্ত্রণা) for the modern society. It causes unspeakable sufferings for the urban people. Many vehicles moving on the same road at the same time cause traffic jam. Besides, our traffic police are not sincere. They often do not do their duties honestly. The drivers are indifferent to traffic rules. They try to get more passengers stopping their buses here and there. All these things together cause traffic jams. Moreover, too many rickshaws plying (চলাচলরত) on the streets is another cause of traffic jam. At the time of traffic jam I feel extremely bored as it kills our valuable time. This trouble should not be allowed to continue. Strict law should be imposed to control traffic jam. Exemplary (দৃষ্টান্তমূলক) punishment should be given to the drivers who do not obey traffic rules. Above all, the traffic authority should be more active to enforce traffic rules and maintain (বজার রাখা) the discipline on the roads.

যানজট

ট্রাফিক জ্যাম হলো রাস্তায় যানবাহনের একটি লম্বা সারি। আধুনিক সমাজের জন্য একটি বড় সমস্যা ও যন্ত্রণা। এটি শহর বা নগরবাসীর জন্য অবর্ণনীয় দুর্দশার সৃষ্টি করে। একই রাস্তায় একই সময়ে অনেক যানবাহন চললে ট্রাফিক জ্যামের সৃষ্টি হয়। অন্যদিকে, ট্রাফিক পুলিশরা কর্তব্যে 'সচেতন নয়। ভারা তাদের দায়িত্ব সুচারুরূপে সম্পন্ন করে না। চালকরা ট্রাফিক আইন সম্পর্কে উদাসীন। তারা এখানে সেখানে বাস থামিয়ে অধিক 'যাত্রী বহনের চেষ্টা করে। এসব কারণ একত্রে ট্রাফিক জ্যামের সৃষ্টি করে। অন্যদিকে রাস্তায় চলাচলকারী অসংখ্য রিক্সা ট্রাফিক জ্যামের অপর একটি কারণ। ট্রাফিক জ্যামের সময় আমি অত্যন্ত বিরক্ত হই, কেননা এটি আমাদের মূল্যবান সময় নষ্ট করে। এই জঘন্য অবস্থা চলতে দেওয়া যায় না। ট্রাফিক জ্যাম নিয়ন্ত্রণ করতে কঠোর আইন জারি করতে হবে। যেসব ড্রাইভার ট্রাফিক আইন অমান্য করে তাদেরকে দৃষ্টান্তমূলক শাস্তি দিতে হবে। সর্বোপরি, ট্রাফিক কর্তৃপক্ষকে রাস্তায় ট্রাফিক আইন প্রয়োগে ও শৃঙ্খলা রক্ষার্থে সচেষ্ট হতে হবে।
