Graffiti is a form of art created in public spaces like walls, buildings, and streets. It often delivers powerful messages, expressing opinions or protesting against injustices. Graffiti allows people to express their thoughts and emotions creatively. During the July Revolution of 2024 in our country, graffiti became a vital tool for protest. After the assassination of a student activist named Abu Sayeed in Rangpur, students painted a mural with the words, "Who will bring justice for the murder of martyr Abu Sayeed?" Although the mural was removed the next morning, it left a lasting impression. After the fall of the dictatorial government on 5 August 2024, graffiti spread across Bangladesh. Students painted walls to honor martyrs and support the revolution. Slogans appeared on walls in Dhaka and other parts of the country, alongside symbols like clenched fists and the rising sun. Graffiti became a way to exercise freedom of speech and draw attention to ignored issues. Students, artists, and even rickshaw pullers joined the movement, with donations supporting their efforts. Graffiti has since become a voice for the people, symbolizing hope and unity.

গ্রাফিতি হলো দেয়াল, ভবন এবং রাস্তার মতো সর্বজনীন/উন্মুক্তস্থানে নির্মিত শিল্পের একটি রূপ। এটি প্রায়শই অন্যায়ের বিরুদ্ধে প্রতিবাদ বা মতামত প্রকাশ করে শক্তিশালী বার্তা প্রদান করে। গ্রাফিতি মানুষকে সৃজনশীলভাবে তাদের চিন্তাভাবনা এবং আবেগ প্রকাশ করতে দেয়। আমাদের দেশে ২০২৪ সালের জুলাই বিপ্লবের সময়, প্রতিবাদের একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ হাতিয়ার হয়ে ওঠে গ্রাফিতি। রংপুরে আবু সাঈদ নামে এক ছাত্র আন্দোলনকারীকে হত্যার পর ছাত্ররা এই বলে একটি ম্যুরাল আঁকে, "শহীদ আবু সাঈদ হত্যার বিচার কে করবে?" যদিও পরের দিন সকালে ম্যুরালটি সরিয়ে ফেলা হয়, তবুও এটি একটি স্থায়ী ছাপ রেখে যায়। ২০২৪ সালের ৫ই আগস্ট স্বৈরাচারী সরকারের পতনের পর গ্রাফিতি সারা বাংলাদেশে ছড়িয়ে পড়ে। ছাত্ররা শহীদদের সম্মান জানাতে এবং বিপ্লবকে সমর্থন করার জন্য দেয়ালচিত্র আঁকে। ঢাকা এবং দেশের অন্যান্য অংশে দেয়ালে মুষ্টিবদ্ধ মুষ্টি এবং উদীয়মান সূর্যের মতো প্রতীকগুলির পাশাপাশি স্লোগানগুলি শোভা পাচ্ছিল। গ্রাফিতি বাকস্বাধীনতা প্রয়োগ এবং অবহেলিত বিষয়গুলির প্রতি দৃষ্টি আকর্ষণ করার একটি উপায় হয়ে ওঠেছিল। ছাত্র, শিল্পী এবং এমনকি রিকশাচালকেরাও এই আন্দোলনে যোগ দিয়েছিলেন, অনুদান দিয়ে তাদের প্রচেষ্টাকে সমর্থন করেছিলেন। গ্রাফিতি তখন থেকে মানুষের কণ্ঠস্বর হয়ে উঠেছে, যা আশা ও ঐক্যের প্রতীক।
